Dr. Gwendal Jouan

3D Simulation

Background

Dr Gwendal Jouan is currently a Research Engineer at Siemens Industry Software. His current focus is on novel techniques linking traditional simulation tools and Machine Learning. He completed a joint PhD from Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France) and University of Liège (Belgium) in 2014 on the topic of damage and fracture modelling. He worked as a researcher (Postdoc) for two years for the University of Liège and Ecole Centrale de Nantes, where he tutored Master and PhD students. Gwendal completed a Master of Mathematics with a specialization in Statistics and Machine Learning from Université Paris-Saclay in 2020.
